Mother’s own milk and human milk feeding

When mother’s milk is unavailable, pasteurized donor human milk should be considered. This involvement helps parents feel more confident and prepares them for caring for their infant at home.

Comprehensive education helps families understand their infant’s condition, recognize warning signs, and perform necessary care tasks. Before discharge, families should receive training on medication administration, special feeding techniques, and use of any required equipment.
