Prevention strategies

The best ADR management is prevention. Before prescribing any medication during pregnancy, conduct a thorough risk-benefit analysis. Consider non-pharmacological alternatives when possible. Choose medications with established safety records in pregnancy.

Educate patients about potential adverse effects and warning signs that require immediate medical attention. Informed patients become partners in safety monitoring, often identifying problems before they escalate.
